so i have decided to return and post a well, just something.
This new years seemed to be one of the best i have ever had. Maybe it was the excitement, or the thought of actually counting down the last moments of 2006, or maybe even the fact of spending it with some of the best friends i have ever had. Those others at the guys sleep over we totally owned you in the best party ever! did you actually catch the end of new year this time? remember the time when w started the year off 5 mins late because of the clock that was mmm five minuites off? oh man haha
So we have another week to waste and what to do?
I got this book for crismas from my moms friend and it has some great stuff in it. My moms friend is a little weird to be honest, but then again, we are all a little weird. Anyways she loves to argue with me...alot so i dunno why she got this book for be. It kinda suprised me, but that is beside the point. This book has some awesome poems in it. Like this one....

SUSPICION
A teenager-
closely watched by store security
As to avoid any kind of larceny
throgh his eyes this kid is surely a theif
He surveys her every move
Waiting for the act
So that he can catch her and set her straight
Straight, unlike her tousled bright red hair
He sakes his head in dissaproval
Does she expect people not to stare?

With her graffiti coloured,
over sized jeans ; to wide
black clunky boots; to high
topping it off with nothing at all;
tight tiny shirt, much to small
thick silver chains
her jewlery no doubt
make it easy tokeep track of her whereabouts
thanks to the annoying sound they chime
they look rediculous as though enslaving her
forcing her to go out in public as she does
and yet, she seems confident
proud of her image
security guard wonders when she will grow up
he paces back and forth-impatiently
as if waiting for her to make the change
to "maturity"
before exiting the store

An adult-
walks by with grace and class
lengthly long buisness woman in designer clothing
avoiding eye contact
dodging shoppers
heading directly towards theback of the isle

The security guard finally remembers his objective
and searches for a young girl
who seems to have cleverly slipped away
he listens for rhe sounds of the chains
but everything is instantly drowned out
by the sound of the alarm system
JUSTICE
with a smirk of satisfaction, he turns to face
the scene to catch a glimpse
of the culprit

And as she lowers her blonde head
in shame
the read-headed teenager pays for her
blue nail polish

and this is usually what older people think of most teenagers.
Why are people so critical of us?

Stupid advertisments...they better pay you for that. And as for party pwnages, you're hosed. we counted down ( not with the rest of the world. Everyone knew it was about new years time, so jon just went'three, two, one' and everyone went 'happy new year!' and it was perfect. Good times all night. But yours was better? All right. Tell me how.

And old people don't like teenagers cuz they were there once, and they know they were jerks, reached an age in the twenties somehwere probably, where they regretted being jerks, and now they shun that, and we are at the age where they messed up, so they hate us. Or something like that. I made most of that up. But it sounds good, doesnt it?

Yup. Game Over.

they judge us becasue lots of "older" people seem to go off of stereotypes. (acctually every one thinks off stereotyps sometimes). it is the lable that has been planted with us. "all tennagers are bad, they steal, drink, break the law, are reabeleous and are up to no good". fortanitly that is not true and there are lots of good teenagers out in the world, like umm i donno 90% of us...

it is just that other ten percent that gives us a bad name becasue they live up to the stereotype and then again we juge them for doing that..if you are going to go even deeper in thought maybe think why some teenagers do that..is it because they need the attention are not getting enough at home, we do not know what is going on in there life.. but anyway i have seem to have gone off of topic.

the reason why most adults see us that way is because of stereotypes. that we have been labled with and all that we can do if we want to hope to stop being juged is break the stereotyp.

wow i rant to much when i find a topic that intrestes me sorry for taking up this much space. yes are party owned

stereotypes...Yeah, that applies too I guess. Most stereotypes don't come from the majority though. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.

what about scapegoating? Adults aren't adult enough sometimes to take/accept responsibility. They want to blame problems on other people...and who better than those "lesser" than them, those unmatured teens?
